We are bringing our event, This Fierce Love, to The Borders as we move into 2026.

This Fierce Love is an interactive workshop where we listen to a family member's experience of living with harmful alcohol and drug use, discussing and reflecting on what we have heard together. Scottish Families believes that recognising, supporting, and including families is the change we need to see in Scotland to reduce alcohol and drug-related harm.

We welcome everyone from commissioners, service providers, statutory services, third sector organisations, family members impacted by a loved one's alcohol or drug use, and community groups to come along to this event. The more varied the participation the richer the conversation! Please note that the story shared contains some parts that you may find triggering, particularly if you are a family member who has not yet accessed support. The event is not suitable for anyone who is currently struggling with alcohol or drug use.
