Motor Sport Engineering Camp
About
Step into the fast paced world of motor sport with our Motor Sport Engineering Camp, a hands on two day experience designed for young engineers aged 10-16.Running across Monday 30 March and Tuesday 31 March, the camp invites pupils to build, test and explore a range of engineering challenges led by our expert team.
Day One – Build a Rocket Powered Model Car
Pupils will design and construct their own small scale rocket powered model car, learning key ideas such as aerodynamics, propulsion and structural strength through hands on experimentation. They will test, refine and race their designs as they explore the science behind speed.
Day Two – Explore and Drive a Real Electric Car
The second day moves from models to full scale engineering. Pupils will examine the components of a real electric car, understand how its systems work and take part in guided practical tasks before, under full supervision, having the chance to drive it.
