Penrith-based charity Triple A ('All About Autism') aims to facilitate positive and sustainable change for autistic people – to raise awareness of the issues & challenges that autistic people face, and to bring people together to create and develop solutions.This half-day CPD accredited training session will be delivered by autistic co-facilitators sharing their lived experiences, and aims to cover the following outcomes:
⦁ To equip you with a practical working knowledge of autism or consolidate understanding of what autism is
⦁ To consider communication, sensory and environmental issues linked to practice and workspaces and the impact that this has on Autistic individuals
⦁ To introduce strategies for interacting with autistic individuals and their families
⦁ To understand the impact of autistic overload and burnout and the impact of anxiety on presentation for an autistic person
⦁ To know what adaptations and reasonable adjustments to make for others
⦁ To bring real life scenarios to discuss practical solutions for your practice
Our autistic co-facilitators are involved in developing and delivering all our training, offering authenticity and lived insight to all our autism training.
The cost of the session is £5 for members and £15 for non-members.
