Our tour today takes us firstly to Kelso which lies at the junction of the rivers Tweed and Teviot. The spacious town square claims to be the largest in Scotland and Kelso is rich with architectural and cultural heritage. You can explore its abbey, castle, bridge and not forgetting the centrepiece of Roxburgh Estate Floors Castle. The journey continues to the picturesque town of Melrose in the Scottish Borders which has a rich history, a ruined abbey, a Roman heritage centre, two National Trust Gardens. Our final stop of the day takes us to historic Royal Burgh of Jedburgh home to one of the finest Augustinian abbeys in Scotland. Take a riverside walk or browse the shops in the colourful renovated buildings in the Market Place and Canongate.Date
