DEEP CABARET
“My Many Companions is a set of enchantments I’m offering to Cherished Land. Solo voice and guitar incanting tales of deep questing, shamanic journeyings and mythopoetic encounters. The story, to date, of my ongoing relationship with Mystery.
This is music as Soulcraft. An offering to, and on, the Land , that aims to serve the ecosystem of Nature, Community, and Imaginaton. An animistic response to our environmental crisis that invites you back to loving the living world.”

My Many Companions is Deep Cabaret Un. Solo authentic voice and strangely bewitching guitar, casting spells and telling stories, straightforward and allusive, of questing and quasi-shamanic encounters with Mystery and the Others. This tour of live enchantments in deeply cherished wild spaces, inviting listeners back to loving the living world, sees Deep Cabaret sharing a highly personal, animistic response to our environmental crisis.
Intimate music that aims to serve the ecosystem of nature, community, and creativity. An offering of reciprocal attention that might just be a remarkable and unforgettable experience for all concerned.

Catcastle DL12 9DQ in theory brings you here but.....depending on which direction you'll come ...
The main road runs from Barnard Castle to Cotherstone and Lartington is in between the 2 which you'll come in on if coming from the A1/A66 or Barnard Castle.
There is also a 'back fell road' that comes off the western A66 signposted to Bowes/Barnard Castle and if your sat nav brings you in on that road take the sign to Cotherstone (left) and then to Lartington (right)
Take the right (or left) turn down the unmarked track which is just after (or before) the junction for Bowes at the top end (west end) of the village.
The track has 2 large refuse bins and a normal wheelie bin at the top.
It goes slightly down a slope under an old water bridge and then flattens out.
It follows the old railway track.
Come all the way down the track - it's about 1 mile and very bumpy atm due to the rain/ice so take care.
At the bottom there is a gravelled open parking area.
