Deep Cabaret : My Many Companions
Sunday 24th May 2026 2-4pm
Booking for this event is about to close. Here are the details if you want to just up:
THE PLAN!
We will gather at 2pm. The main ‘offering’ from Deep Cabaret will happen first and is quite an immersive experience so please aim to be there at the start if you can! After that we will have a short break before Amy Clouds shares a few songs :-) We aim to be finished by 4pm.
DIRECTIONS
We are meeting at the community veg garden on Urswick Road, Ulverston. It can be a bit tricky to find! The garden is just after the junction with Colt House Lane and Main Road (which comes through Swarthmoor). If you are coming from the A590 Cross a Moor roundabout, you the garden is a right turn at the junction onto Urswick Road. You might be able to spot the sheds and willow trees from the road on the right hand side, and/or my white van with orange light on top. I can't find a useful postcode, but this Google pin takes you to roughly the right vicinity: https://maps.app.goo.gl/mnVuQ2EnGu2Fg1oR9 The 'What 3 Words' is charmingly.sensibly.herb ! There is a new housing development in construction with a big sign saying Pippins Beck, just across the road.
PARKING
Unfortunately there is a traffic light system and road works in place at the new development so best to park further down Urswick Road towards town. The walk from town is also pleasant, especially if you come through the fields (take the footpath next to St Marys School on Springfield Road).
WHAT TO BRING
Hot and cold drinks, and a few nibbles will be provided, but you may like to bring a bottle of water if you like to drink a lot as there is no running water on-site. Please come prepared to be outside for the whole afternoon. It looks like we will have fine and warm weather but it can be a bit breezy there so warm layers might be helpful. There is not much shade so you might like a sunhat/glasses. If we get rain we can move inside into the cabin.
Deep Cabaret
“My Many Companions is a set of enchantments I’m offering to Cherished land. Solo voice and guitar incanting tales of deep questing, shamanic journeyings and mythopoetic encounters. The story, to date, of my ongoing relationship with Mystery.
This is music as Soulcraft. An offering to, and on, the Land, that aims to serve the ecosystem of Nature, Community, and Imagination. An animistic response to our environmental crisis that invites you back to loving the living world.”
This event is part of a tour of deeply cherished wild spaces, in collaboration with like-minded friends. An offering of reciprocal attention that might just be a remarkable and unforgettable experience for all concerned.

Amy Clouds
Ulverston based singer-songwriter with a folky edge and a feisty spirit. Amy will share a taster of her latest songs which have flowed through her own unfolding conversation with the ‘more than human’ world. Songs of longing for reconnection, of the restorative power of nature and belonging, and the wisdom of the wild. This is roots music, mud music, river, forest, creature, slug music. Shared with her naturalistic style, balancing fragility and power, humility and humour, and embracing a lo-fi sense of imperfection. Amy warmly welcomes us to join her in making sense of being human, to reunite with each other and our wild kin. A balm for the soul in a world in turmoil, and a celebration of the beauty that keeps shining through.
MMC is a donations event with strictly limited numbers. We suggest £10 but you’re welcome to pay less or more if you wish. The location will be at the Community Veg garden on the edge of Ulverston, Urswick Road. Directions provided on booking.
