Entertaining Angels - Brightlight Theatre
Grace has spent a lifetime being on her best behaviour. As the dutiful wife of a vicar, she has poured enough tea to float a battleship and swallowed enough biting comments to choke a horse. Now that her husband, Bardolph, has passed away, Grace is ready to hang up her "vicar’s wife" halo and enjoy a quiet life of freedom in her beloved garden. There is just one problem: the vicarage - and the vicar - aren't quite done with her yet.
Richard Everett’s Entertaining Angels is a sharp-edged comedy with a deeply beating heart. Filled with dry British wit, tea, turmoil, and the secrets of a marriage, this is a touching, funny story about asking for forgiveness and the messy business of being a family.
Saturday 18th April at 7.30pm and again on Saturday 25th April at 2.00pm and 7.30pm.
