About
6 week sewing course suitable for beginners. The sessions are every Saturday 9h30-12:30 for 6 weeks. During the course you will learn:To use a sewing machine
Thread the machine and a bobbin
Create a stitch directory
Projects include making: Coasters, an envelope cushion, pin cushion and fabric bowl, a tote bag with appliqué decoration and pocket, a fabric purse/wallet
The use of our sewing machines, along with fabric and thread from our donated collection are included. Some projects may include such items as wadding, binding and zips which you will need to provide, your tutor will advise.
Please Note: Our sewing classes are designed with adults in mind. We do welcome 16 and 17-year-olds; however, for safeguarding reasons, they must be accompanied by an adult.
The accompanying adult is welcome to either:
• Join the class (standard course fee applies), or
• Sit in and relax while the session takes place (free of charge).
