About
The Fold are excited to present Maya Kally on her new EP Tour - A Window Left Open, with support from Old Sun, New MoonA little about the artists below...
Maya Kally is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter and composer, with Folk, Jazz, Country, and Indie influences. Having studied Jazz vocals and Classical piano at Leeds Conservatoire, Maya moved back to London, where she focused on lyricism and poetry, exploring ideas of stillness in her compositions.
Their upcoming debut EP, A Window Left Open, is due to be released on 20th March 2026. ‘A Window Left Open’ explores themes of illness, addiction, heartbreak, loneliness, the passing of time, and their interest in country music.
The first single 'Baily Lighthouse', released on the 16th January 2026 as part of their debut EP, was inspired by the harsh, ever-changing Irish coast in correlation to the helpless feeling of watching someone battle addiction.

Old Sun, New Moon is a transatlantic duo made up of Lancashire singer-songwriter Tom Welsh and ambient noisemaker Etta Helfrich from Indiana, US. The two met in February 2022 in Manchester and quickly forged a musical partnership comprising Tom's introspective northern songwriting and Etta's midwestern experimental ambient guitar mastery (showcased as solo project Black Brunswicker). The result weaves beautifully textures songs with a rich lyrical landscape, often bolstered by a rotating cast of collaborators.
Having independently released two EPs in 2024, supported with UK and US dates, and a single on Nettwerk Music Group in 2025, an album is set to be released in 2026 that sees a more expansive sound explored with the aid of the duo's full live band.
