About
8 WK TERM - WED EVES 7-9pm - FEB 4th - APR 1st (FEB 18th OFF)Soundhouse Choir celebrates TEN YEARS!
Hello and Happy New Year!
Very happy, in fact delighted, to announce exciting developments as we sail into YEAR TEN and the THIRTIETH term of Soundhouse Choir!
A recent survey revealed the choir's most memorable occasions over the years -
Storm and AMAL with Oi Musica and Karine Polwart at COP 26, Shetland, Justin Currie, The Gospel According to Niz, Cathedrals, Concert halls, Parliament, Janey Godley's funeral and many more special moments!
The survey also asked how the choir might celebrate this significant birthday.
The choir said they'd like to -
Do great concerts for a good cause.
Collaborate with professional artists in a wide variety of events.
Have a party!
WE CAN DO JUST THIS 🙂
Our first exciting destination will be to join, none other than -
THE LOVEBOAT BIG BAND for 'HIGH TEAS on the HIGH SEAS!',
in the fabulous SUMMERHALL Dissection Room, SATURDAY JUNE 27th.

'Many shows promise riotous musical fun, this one delivers it.'
An institution of Edinburgh Fringe and beyond, The Loveboat Big Band still sails the High Teas, sorry, High Seas. after nearly 30yrs!
Featuring The Bevvy Sisters, Admiral T, Deep Sea Diver Demus, The Ivitsky Brothers and and all the Salty Dogs on horns!
Following annual sell-out appearances at The Famous Speigeltent and Queens Hall, The Loveboat Big Band did a 5-star run at Summerhall for Fringe 2014. They celebrated their 20th Anniversary at Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival in 2017.
The band now comes out of dry-dock for special occasions and last checked in at Kelburn Garden Party 2025.
In contrast to the late-night cruises of the past, finally here is the chance to take a long-held dream-journey.
A Teatime-Dance, moving from cakes to cocktails, wrapping the Soundhouse Choir around some epic songs with this glorious Big Band, with special guests,
leaving ample time on a Midsummer night for an all-welcome after-party, to celebrate the choir and life in general!
Dress code: Fancy or Seafaring. Dress to cruise!
Some much-needed, light-hearted fayre to play with over the next two terms.
All proceeds will go to Medical Aid for Palestinians.
With love, whether you can make it along to the choir, the show or the afterparty or, preferably, all three!
