About
Are you an allotment holder or involved in caring for community fruit trees. Would you like to learn more about how to prune fruit trees? If so, this is the session for you.Led by Amy Kilbride, this workshop will explain in detail the how’s, when’s, do’s and dont’s of pruning fruit trees, help you improve your knowledge, confidence and skills.
There will be an opportunity to have a go at pruning some apple trees on site. This is the ideal perfect time of year to be pruning fruit trees, so come along and join us and take away skills that you can use on your own fruit trees.
What to bring: the session will be mostly outdoors, so please consider the weather and wear appropriate warm clothing and footwear.
If you have sharp secateurs and work gloves do bring them along, however there will be some available on the day.
This workshop is for allotment holders or anyone involved in caring for community fruit trees and bushes across the District
This is a free event, but booking is required as places are limited.
