Flood Warden Online Induction Training 2026
About
Online training for Volunteer Community Flood Wardens delivered by the Environment Agency.Please note this training is primarily for Flood Wardens based in Yorkshire, however people from other areas are the UK are very welcome to join.
This 2 hour training session will cover:
- Climate change and the 'bigger picture' of flooding
- The role of a community flood warden
- How to prepare for flooding
- Acting safely around flood water (note: this is not classed as 'water safety' training)
- What to expect when working with emergency responders
