Join us for 24 hours of wildlife recording at Mann Wood and engage with nature hands-on, like you have never experienced it before!

Discover the hidden world of native flora and fauna with our incredible array of species experts. Bring the whole family and spend the day exploring the woods, learning about the amazing plants and animals that live right on our doorstep.

🗓️ SATURDAY 2nd MAY: Exploring the Woods
The BioBlitz begins with a range of guided walks and hands-on activities led by species experts. As evening falls, we’ll turn our attention to the woodland after dark.

🔎 EXPERT-LED WALKS
Explore reptiles, fungi, butterflies, and botany throughout the day.

🌙 NIGHT-TIME DISCOVERY
Join us for bat trapping and moth surveys as the sun goes down.

🌳 FAMILY FOREST FUN
Enjoy drop-in activities all day, including face painting, nature crafts, bug hunting, and scavenger hunts.

🗓️ SUNDAY 3rd MAY: Early Morning Session
Join us bright and early to experience the woodland waking up.

🐦 UP-CLOSE WILDLIFE
See bird ringing and small mammal trapping demonstrations as part of our survey work.

📍 LOCATION & DIRECTIONS
To get to Mann Wood:

Come off the A131 at Great Leighs.

Follow Boreham Road.

Look out for the Mann Wood Sign at the entrance!
