Mansfield and District Male Voice Choir are delighted to present a gala spring concert with their special guests the illustrious, premier Welsh male voice choir Morriston Orpheus.
It will be the first occasion that the two choirs have appeared together as Morriston Orpheus make a rare appearance outside of Wales. We are honoured to have them join us at a concert in the East Midlands which promises to be a choral highlight of 2026.

Our Mansfield choir was inaugurated in 1944 and has won over 50 first places in national competitions and were kindly granted the Freedom of Mansfield by former Mayor Kate Allsop to mark their 75th Anniversary in 2019. Sell out concerts are the norm including their 80th anniversary concert in Southwell Minster.

Morriston Orpheus are a flagship choir and since its inception in April 1935 has steadfastly embodied the ethos of ‘making music joyously’. With an esteemed international reputation, a storied history and the unwavering dedication of its members and staff, it proudly upholds its position as the Ambassadors of Song.

Work is underway to prepare a concert of soaring male voice choir music which will undoubtedly include some stunning Welsh pieces as well as modern songs and male voice choir classics. We, and many of our local audience members are anticipating a great event and the informal table layout at Mansfield Rugby Club, Eakring Road Mansfield, NG18 3EW, will make for a relaxed evening of song and fun.
