MBChB Curriculum Writing Workshop
Lancaster Medical School's Curriculum Transformation - approved for 4 CPD points
An inspiring opportunity to help shape the future of medical education
These subspecialty-based workshops are not just about discussion; they are about legacy. Would you like to leave your mark on the MBChB curriculum at Lancaster?
We will spend some time gathering your opinions about what FY1’s need to know about your specialty, and where they can learn about your specialty in your organisation.
We will then deliver some medical education CPD in how to write learning outcomes, and start to develop, with you, learning outcomes in your speciality for our new MBChB curriculum.
Your clinical expertise will directly inform and develop Lancaster Medical School’s new MBChB curriculum, ensuring it reflects the realities of modern practice while nurturing the next generation of doctors. By contributing your insight, you’ll help craft a curriculum that is innovative, relevant, and grounded in frontline experience.
Join us in this meaningful endeavour and leave your mark on the future of medical training in our region. Lunch & refreshments will be provided.
For this workshop, we are especially interested to hear from colleagues working in these specialties: Paediatrics; Paediatric Surgery; Neonatology; Obstetrics & Gynaecology; Sexual & Reproductive Health; Psychiatry; Neurology; Neurosurgery; Stroke medicine; Ophthalmic Surgery; ENT; Maxillo-facial Surgery. However, we are still seeking input from all specialties at this stage.
