Girton College, Cambridge.Tess, Celia, Carolyn and Maeve join the ranks of the Cambridge university students, as some of the few girls admitted to the university before the turn of the 20th Century. However, when their male counterparts graduate, these women leave with nothing but the stigma of being a 'blue stocking' - an unnatural, educated woman. They are denied degrees and go home unqualified and unmarriable...
On Thursday, we are delighted to invite audience members to a pre-show Q&A with the playwright Jessica Swale, who will provide creative insight into the world of the play.
