Wild Wellbeing Day - Saturday 11 April

A gentle pause. A breath of nature. A day to come home to yourself.

Wild Wellbeing Days are an invitation to step out of the rush of everyday life and into the steady, grounding rhythm of nature. Held in and around the cosy Blossom Yurt, nestled amongst the Howgill Fells at Howgills Hideaway, these days are about softening, laughing, breathing deeply and remembering what it feels like to be fully present.

This is not about fixing yourself. It’s about tending to yourself with care, curiosity and a good dose of joy.

How the day gently unfolds:

Arrival & Grounding
We arrive slowly. A warm welcome into the yurt, time to settle in, take in the views and let the outside world fade into the background. Gentle grounding, breathwork and intention-setting to mark the shift from “doing” to simply being.

Seasonal Yoga & Movement
A nourishing yoga practice guided by the season - sometimes slow and soothing, sometimes playful and energising, always accessible and optional. Expect mindful movement, intuitive flow, moments of stillness and plenty of encouragement to listen to your own body.

Rest & Meditation
Space to soften and land. A guided meditation or relaxation practice to quieten the mind, restore the nervous system and deepen your connection to yourself and the landscape around you.

Seasonal Crafting & Creative Play
Hands in, heads out. A simple, soulful seasonal craft inspired by nature; weaving, writing, making, creating. No experience needed, just curiosity. This is creativity for joy, not perfection.

Fireside Chats & Reflection
Gathered around the fire (or the stove, depending on the weather), we share gentle prompts, reflections and fireside conversations. There’s space for journalling, listening, laughter and quiet moments alike - share as much or as little as you wish.

Wild Nourishment Lunch
A delicious, wholesome lunch made to nourish body and soul, enjoyed together. Food that feels comforting, seasonal and generous because wellbeing should taste good too.

Nature Time & Integration
Time to step outside, wander, breathe in the wide-open landscape and let the day settle. This might be a gentle walk, solo reflection or simply sitting and soaking up the view.

Closing Circle
We close the day with gratitude, grounding and a sense of spaciousness carrying a little more ease, joy and connection back into everyday life.
