Celebrate St. George’s Day with Wymondham Archers

Dear Fellow Archer,

Wymondham Archers are pleased to invite you to our upcoming St. George's Tournament!

This event is intended to be a fun, spirited shoot to celebrate St. George's Day. While we focus on the archery, we are embracing the history of the period — while medieval attire is not mandatory, it is highly encouraged!

Come for the arrows, stay for the atmosphere (and potentially a purse shoot!).

The Details

• Date: Saturday, 25th April 2026

• Assembly: 10:30 am

• Start: Followed immediately by two ends of sighters

• Location: Wymondham Archers Outdoor Range

  • Barnards Fields, Bray Drive (off Reeve Way), Wymondham, Norfolk, NR18 0GQ.

  • Note: Please follow signs for the Rugby Club.

• Entry Fee: £10.00 per entrant

• Eligibility: All bow styles welcome. All archers must be current members of Archery GB (AGB).

The Rounds

All rounds will be shot in 6-arrow ends.

• Adult Males: St. George Round

  • 3 doz @ 100 yds, 3 doz @ 80 yds, 3 doz @ 60 yds

• Adult Females: Albion / Long Windsor

  • 3 doz @ 80 yds, 3 doz @ 60 yds, 3 doz @ 50 yds

• Juniors (Under 18): Windsor 50

  • 3 doz @ 50 yds, 3 doz @ 40 yds, 3 doz @ 30 yds

If there is enough interest, a purse shoot may be held at the conclusion of the rounds.
