“Many Voices, One Church” – A Diocesan Racial Justice Launch

Many Voices, One Church is a diocesan gathering to launch the new Racial Justice Toolkit, bringing people together for worship, reflection, food and conversation on our shared journey towards racial justice in the Diocese of Chichester. Join churches from across the diocese as we mark the beginning of our shared racial justice journey and launch the new diocesan Racial Justice Toolkit. This half day gathering will weave together a Racial Justice presentation, honest reflection, open dialogue, uplifting choir music, shared stories and time to connect with one another.
The Eucharist will be presided over by:
• Bishop Will Hazlewood – Bishop of Lewes
• Revd Emma Ham Riche – Associate Archdeacon for Diversity and Inclusion
Keynote speakers:
• Professor Alan Lester – University of Sussex
• Vitalis Ngwambi – Racial Justice Co ordinator, Diocese of Chichester
Reflections will be offered by:
• Revd Canon Martha Mutikani – Zinafe Pastoral Lead Trustee
• Revd Alan Green – Chaplain, University of Sussex
• Augustina Tetsola – PCC Member, St Luke’s Prestonville
• Ivy Manning – Engagement Officer, Gypsies, Roma and Travellers

During the afternoon there will be a Commitment Wall where you can write pledges, suggestions or prayers, a multicultural choir leading us in music, and generous hospitality with food from different traditions.
All are welcome – clergy, lay leaders, parish representatives, youth and children’s workers, and anyone who longs to see the Church reflect the rich diversity of the communities it serves.
