About
The story of the Earth (and you) from the Big Bang, through to the present, and on to the future. First the formation of the stars, planets, and Earth. Secondly how life began, and evolved into humans; how humans work and how they created the modern world. Third, how to make the future better.The session will show how planets emerged from the Big Bang, how Earth is special (in the "Goldilocks Zone") and whether there might be life on other planets.
How the continents formed was a mystery to us until 100 years ago. Now it seems obvious.
The more we know, the easier it is to understand mountains and deserts, floods and hurricanes, why the Earth is warming
... and there is a remarkably simple solution to the problem.
Sessions 10.30, 12.30. Suitable for all ages.
£5 per child (adults and under 7s go free).
