Lewis Barfoot - Folk Singing Workshop
About
Join singer-songwriter and contemporary folk artist Lewis Barfoot for a 2hr morning workshop of embodied singing in which she will guide you through a selection of lovely accessible songs in a relaxed, fun and playful way.You will do a thorough warm up, some breath exercises and sing together.
This workshop is open to everyone who loves to sing or would like to reconnect with their voice. No previous experience is necessary and there’s no need to read music — everything will be taught by ear, with sensitivity and encouragement. The workshop is fully inclusive and accessible to people of all vocal and physical abilities. You are welcome to take part seated or standing. Lewis ensures that everyone can participate comfortably at their own pace.
After the workshop, there’ll be time to share a cuppa, have a natter and enjoy some lunch!
Then, Lewis returns in the evening, for her concert of original music and folk songs to lift your heart and soothe your soul - featuring at least one of the songs taught in the morning.
