An Intrepid Approach to Travel Photography
About
This FREE EVENT held at Intrepid Travel's Brixton offices will help you to come home with better photographs and have a more engaged and fulfilling time whilst you are travelling.Although technical skills are important, travel photography is about far more than this: your pictures will succeed or fail depending on how you approach the country you travel in. By putting engagement, involvement and connection with people and places above everything else, you will be able to take more unique pictures that reflect your own individual experience - whether you use a complex camera or a smartphone.
What characterises Steve’s approach to photography is a thirst to get into the middle of the action and experience as much as he photographs, so that his pictures transport the viewer into a situation that they would never encounter in real life – something he believes is both the strength and the purpose of travel photography.
Based upon many years of travel and photography, this lively illustrated talk gives an alternative view on the art of travel photography and a number of exclusive tips to help you to get you and your camera in the right place at the right time and to set the mood of the pictures you take. This will not just help you to come back home with better pictures, it will ensure that you have a much more engaged and fulfilling travel time whilst you are away.
Snacks and drinks will be provided!
Doors open at 18:15; talk starts at 18:30
If the event is full, you will be given the option of signing up for the wait list, for any potential cancellations; if there are enough people we may organise a second event.
