About
Many WI members have shown an interest in learning patchwork skills or trying new techniques without committing to making a full quilt. These sessions offer the chance to do just that — while also helping to bring comfort to bereaved families.Sadly, quilts are often unavailable in Emergency departments for babies and children who die before reaching a ward. A Bereavement Quilt allows a child to be gently wrapped and can then be given to their parents as a lasting memory.
Each monthly session in the series will focus on making a simple patchwork block using a different technique, with fabric and instructions provided. The completed blocks will be joined together to create a Bereavement Quilt for donation to local emergency departments.
Learn new skills, meet new people, and help create something truly meaningful.
