Reprogramming ageing to treat chronic disease
About
The splice of life: reprogramming ageing to treat chronic diseasePublic lecture by Professor Lorna Harries, University of Exeter
Ageing is the strongest risk factor for many chronic diseases, yet the biological processes that drive it are only now coming into focus. In this lecture, Prof Lorna Harries will explore how changes in RNA splicing, the way our genes are read and regulated, shape cellular ageing and influence disease risk.
Prof Harries is also the co-founder and chief scientific officer for Senisca, a spin out company addressing ageing.
Please arrive at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start. Talks run for approximately 45 minutes followed by a Q&A session.
