Nicholas Mulroy, tenor, and Nancy Cooley, piano,

bring you a programme to include

Britten’s Seven Sonnets of Michelangelo and Fauré’s La Bonne Chanson

at St Anne's Church in Lewes.

There will be an interval in this recital.

Nicholas Mulroy has sung many times at the Wigmore Hall and at the Aix and Edinburgh Festivals in repertoire ranging from Purcell to Stephen Hough, via Schubert and the complete Britten Canticles. His recordings span eight centuries of music and include Bach’s Passions and Handel’s Messiah, for which he won a Gramophone Award.

Nancy Cooley is the Founder and Co-Artistic Director of the Lewes Festival of Song and has performed at the festival with many singers, including Mark Padmore and Sally Matthews. She has made a speciality throughout her life of collaborating with singers and instrumentalists, and has performed at the Aldeburgh, Aix and Edinburgh Festivals and on the South Bank.
