‘Dinner and Divertimento’Two summer concerts at Higham Hall on Thursday 9th July given the advanced ‘Wind Serenades’ course players
4.30pm DIVERTIMENTO I
Colourful British music by Christopher Brown (based on ’The Merry Wives of Windsor’) and Merseyside composer Allan Stephenson, plus ‘moving’ music from Alyssa Morris, and a glorious French classic - the Sextet by Francis Poulenc.
6.00pm THE BAR IS OPEN!
6.30pm DINNER
8.00pm DIVERTIMENTO II
A Fantasia by Joseph Horovitz (who created the ‘Rumple of the Bailey’ theme), music by a legendary Romanian musician Dinu Lipatti, and a hilarious parody of Mozart by French composer Jean Francaix.
9.30pm THE BAR IS OPEN - come and meet the musicians!
