WARMINSTER WORKSHOPS - Senior Edition
About
Mission to the Moon 🚀As part of our Saturday morning Warminster Workshops programme, we’re delighted to invite children in Years 5 and 6 to step inside our Wessex Science Centre for a hands-on physics adventure.
2026 is set to be a historic year, as humans prepare to return to the Moon - the first step in exploring the wider Solar System and beyond. But what does it really take to get there?
During this exciting morning, children will embark on an imagined journey from Earth to our nearest celestial neighbour. They’ll explore questions such as: What happens during a rocket launch? How are rockets designed to travel through space? What challenges do astronauts face on their journey to the Moon - and back again?
Packed with practical activities, problem-solving and discovery, this workshop offers an inspiring glimpse into the future of space exploration and the wonders of physics.
Join us for a morning of curiosity, creativity and cosmic adventure!
