We’re back! And we are delighted to present another exciting Open Mic Night for International Women’s Day. We can’t wait for you to join us in celebrating the voices of women from all over the world living in Carlisle alongside local Cumbrian women.PLUS, we’re giving it a refresh! So what’s new for 2026?
Accompanying our familiar mocktails - a new ‘Bitesize Buffet!’*
Extra games and stalls featuring a Luxury Tombola
An exclusive community art exhibition, Beyond Borders
A newly transformed Chillout Space for you to relax if you need a calm space
Once again we will have FREE tickets! But we are also asking anyone who can afford to make a contribution to the costs of the evening to make a donation, either through this page or on the night itself.
You are recommended to bring some CASH for the games and Luxury Tombola, which will feature some fab prizes! Donation pots will be available if you would like to contribute and help cover some of our costs and fund future events.
Doors will open at 6.15pm. Entrance to the Vineyard is on Lorne St. The venue is upstairs with disabled access.
If you would like to get involved by sharing a poem, performing a song, a piece of spoken word, or comedy, we’d love to hear from you! Let us know in the booking form.
*You are also welcome to bring a plate of ‘bite-size buffet’ food (small, individual portions of food that are eaten out of hand, can be eaten cold and don’t require cutlery). A great way to share your cultural heritage! Please let us know in advance what you would like to bring and tell us about any allergens (dairy, gluten, nuts etc.)
The event is hosted by the innovative collaborative team of Carlisle International Women's Group and UK Woman Up. All women, including transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse people who identify with womanhood are warmly welcomed to come along to share an unforgettable, women-affirming evening with friends.
