We would like to invite you to our Year 1 Phonics Afternoon, where you can find out more about the Phonics Screening Check and how we teach phonics in Year 1.The afternoon will begin with a short meeting explaining what the Phonics Screening Check is. Following this, you will have the opportunity to watch a short phonics session in action and take part in a range of phonics and reading activities with your child.
We hope this afternoon will help you feel confident in supporting your child’s phonics and reading at home, while also giving you an insight into what is happening in school.
