This informal, participatory, face to face workshop is aimed at volunteers or anyone considering becoming a volunteerIt is an open and friendly environment with lots of chat and interaction and a certificate awarded after each session
The sessions are designed as a gentle introduction to give volunteers a better understanding of their operational role, what is expected of them and give them confidence to practice.
This introductory session looks at the role volunteering plays in people's lives, why it is important and how it helps personal development, confidence and career development.
This workshop is the first of 4 workshops
The following sessions include Volunteering Safely, Communication & Interpersonal skills and the final session is Volunteering in Recovery
Each are stand alone sessions but form a complete programme
