'Home, I'm Darling' by Laura Wade.
Performed by Year 11 and Sixth Form.
Judy and Johnny appear to have the perfect 50s lifestyle, but as tensions old and new threaten their seemingly idyllic existence, can they rediscover each other and themselves beneath the gingham facade? Laura Wade's powerful and darkly humorous new play invites us to examine gender roles across the decades and the cracks still present in our 21st century.
Please note that this is a Drama A Level set text and comes with a guidance rating of 12+ as it contains mature themes about relationships.
----
'The Government Inspector' based on the play by Nikolai Gogol.
Performed by Years 8, 9 and 10.
This is Tormead's first ever all-male production and tells the comical story of how corrupt town officials panic, mistaking a nobody for a powerful government inspector. There will be music. There will be dancing. There will be facial hair. There will be political corruption. Surely that sounds like a fun night out?
