Iftar Event
About
Bolton School will be hosting its annual cross foundation Iftar event on the 13th of March. We are delighted to welcome pupils and their parents/guardians to celebrate with us! Everyone is welcome to join for an evening of pupil performances, a three course meal and a chance to connect with members of the wider Bolton School community.
The event programme is as follows:

5.30=Welcome speech and presentation on the importance of Ramadan

5.40=Quran recitation by Sixth form pupil from Boys' Division

5.45=Stories of prophets by pupils from Girls' Division

5.55=Quran recitation by Sixth form pupil from Boys' Division

6.00= Monitors to lead guests to Great Halls in separate divisions (men in Boys', women in Girls') for Maghrib prayer (ablutions can be made on the way there but please can we request that ablution is made prior to the event)

6.15= Fast to be opened in both Great Halls with dates and water. Y10 students to lead prayer in BD. Once prayer is complete, monitors and prefects will take guests back to the Boys' Dining Hall

6.30=Iftar is served

7.45=Closing speech by Foundation CEO Mr Britton (provisional-subject to change once Jamat times are released)
