Flying Birds - Big Saturday (SOLD OUT)
ABOUT
Childrens Workshop
Build a bird, give it wings, and watch it fly! Using scrap and recycled materials, children will create a colourful carnival bird with flapping wings, mounted on a stick so it can swoop, dive, and glide through the air.
This is a fun, hands-on workshop for all ages. Older children will be supported to create a simple flapping mechanism, while younger children can make a simplified version designed for little hands.
Ragtag Parade Project
Children aged 8+ can also help make our giant carnival birds, which will become part of the Ragtag Parade Project. These birds will appear in a number of carnivals throughout the year.
Play Space
Our loose parts play space will be open throughout the session for children under 5
