Sir John Falstaff has fled London and arrived in Windsor – short on cash and rich in cheek. Plotting to charm the wealthy Mistresses Page and Ford, he underestimates their wit and resolve. The Merry Wives swiftly turn the tables, serving up humiliation, hijinks, and hearty laughter as they bring him down a peg or two.
Packed with romance, trickery, and comic comeuppance, this sparkling Shakespearean comedy comes alive in the open air of York House’s Fountain Gardens.

- Fountain Gardens and the Box Office on site will open 90 minutes before a performance.
- No seats are provided. Please bring your own rugs or chairs.
- You are welcome to bring a picnic but you may be asked to put your picnic away 10 minutes before the show starts to make space for other audience members.
- Brewery Market will be running a bar on site, providing craft beer, prosecco and soft drinks.
- No dogs allowed except assistance dogs. Please email the box office (boxoffice@rss-mwt.org.uk) if you will be bringing an assistance dog.
