Quiz Night 2026
Dust off your trivia skills and build your best team - after the success of last year, the SPGS Parents’ Guild is hosting another Quiz Night! Join us on Wednesday 25 March from 6.30 to 9.30 pm in the school's Dining Hall for an evening of challenges, laughter and fun.
This event is for SPGS parents, guardians and staff only and will be run by professional quizmasters. Please bring your own picnic baskets to enjoy supper before the quiz (no food will be available onsite) and we also encourage table decorations. Wine and soft drinks will be available for purchase on the night.
Tickets are priced at £15 per person (plus booking fees) and can be booked either as a table for a team of up to 8 people or individually.
Book your ticket now. We have limited capacity for a maximum of 20 teams so don’t delay! If you have formed your team already, please indicate this by adding the name of your team and team leader in your ticket booking. If you don’t have a full table, no problem—just let us know the names of any friends also getting individual tickets, and we’ll make sure to seat you together to join other parents!
We would be very grateful for any additional donation towards the administrative costs of the event but this is entirely voluntary and in no way affects ticket sales or participation in the quiz. Net proceeds raised will be used towards the SPGS Bursary Fund, school projects falling outside departmental budgets and the students' chosen charities.
Timing:
6.30 pm: Dining Hall opens to all participants
6:45 pm: Supper
7:20 pm: Welcome and a brief rules explanation by the quizmaster
7.30 pm: Quiz game begins
9.20 pm: Scores are tallied and the winning team announced
Ticket sales will end at 9.00 pm on Friday 20 March or when we run out of places. Please note that tickets are non-transferrable and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. We regret that refunds can only be offered if the event is cancelled owing to circumstances beyond the Guild’s control and the booking fee cannot be refunded.
Below we’ve included answers to some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). Please feel free to contact the Events Team with any other queries on spgsguildevents@gmail.com .
We look forward to seeing you there!
Best wishes,

FAQs
Can I play if I don’t have a team?
Yes! We can arrange a team for you if you add ‘TBD' on the booking form in the sections asking for your team name/leader and then 'Yes' to the question asking if you need help finding a team.
My team isn’t finalised. Should I wait to buy my ticket?
No. You should buy your ticket now before they run out. Our booking system allows us to edit your booking at a later stage, so we can add team details when you have them--just email us. As long as every player in your team gives us the name of either your team or team leader/members when they buy their tickets or in advance of the night, we’ll make sure we group you together.
Can I have more or fewer than 8 people on my team?
8 people is the maximum per team due to the dimensions of the tables. A team can have fewer people if they wish, although they will be competing against ‘full-sized’ teams, so we recommend no fewer than 6. As mentioned above, if you are looking for additional members to add to your team, please note this in your ticket booking or contact the Events team and we would be happy to help connect you, particularly with others in your daughter’s year group.
Can I invite a friend?
Unfortunately not, our quiz night is for parents and guardians of SPGS students only.
