Are you working towards your Terrain 1 (T1) Hill Walking Permit?
Join us for a supportive and practical training day designed specifically for Scout leaders who want to build confidence and log quality hill experience.
This day will be run by ASHW instructors, offering you experienced, relevant guidance from those directly involved in the permit scheme.
✅ Add a T1 day to their logbook
✅ Build confidence in navigation
✅ Refresh or improve group management skills
✅ Deepen understanding of the mountain environment
✅ Ask questions and practise specific skills in a safe, encouraging space
Whether you're nearly ready for assessment or just starting to consolidate your experience, this day is an opportunity to develop your skills at your own pace.
We will meet in Bristol at 8:00 at Cribbs Shopping Centre and share lifts to and from the Brecon Beacons returning by 18:00.
There is no charge for Scout Leaders who are working towards a T1 permit though we will share fuel costs to the Brecon Beacons.
