Join TV choirmaster and star of stage and screen, Gareth Malone for an inspirational day at Winchester College's iconic Chapel, rehearsing Faure's Requiem, culminating in a performance for family and friends.

You will spend the day discovering Faure's masterpiece with Gareth, accompanied on Winchester College Chapel's magnificent organ. During the day participants will spend time on physicality, vocal technique, ensemble, listening, engaging with text and performance skills.

Those who wish, may, after applying, send a recorded audition to sing one of the solo parts in the Pie Jesu, Offertoire or Libera Me. This Choral Day is open to adult singers of all ages from age 13 upwards. Children under 18 must be dropped off and collected by an adult.

Music for the Requiem will be sent to you in advance. You will need to be able to read music to take part but do not need to be vocally trained for this event.

The day begins at 10am (registration from 9.30am) with a break for lunch 12.30-2pm when participants will be free to walk into Winchester for a bite to eat. Rehearsals resume at 2pm with the concert for family and friends at 4pm.

Each participant will receive 2 free concert tickets for guests included in the price of the Choral Day.

Admission is £90 per person.

Numbers are limited due to space constrictions and are strictly on a first come first served basis.
