Bring the whole family and join Kendal Rotary on a special Walk for Peace on Sunday 03 May – a day to celebrate kindness, friendship and community together.This is a walk for everyone — parents, grandparents, children, friends, schools and community groups. Whether you can manage a short stroll or a longer adventure, you’re warmly invited to take part.
In a world where peace and understanding matter more than ever, we invite people of all ages to come together in support of respect, harmony and goodwill. Choose a short or longer route and walk at your own pace — every step makes a statement.
🌿 The Walk Options
The Kendal Community Walk (Circular Walk)
Starting from Kirkbie Kendal School between 1:00pm and 2:00pm, this scenic route follows the canal path, continues down to the river into Sedgwick, and returns via the canal towpath to the School.
This walk is timed to meet the Holme walkers at approximately 2:30/3:00pm, at Sedgwick so we can complete the final leg together in a united show of peace and solidarity.
The Holme Walk (Linear Walk)
We will set out from Holme Church at 10:00/10:15am on Sunday 03 May. Kendal Rotary group will head north towards Kendal.
We warmly welcome individuals, families, schools and community groups to join us along the way — whether for a few hundred yards or several miles.

This is a donation-based event, with any surplus funds going towards maintaining and improving the canal path for everyone to enjoy.
