Workshop 4: Optimising outcomes and saving lives
About
11.30am-12.30am, Monica Partridge Building, E Floor, E07Workshop 4: Optimising outcomes and saving lives: managing frailty differently
Frailty is an ever-increasing problem, and both understanding, quantifying, and tailoring treatments is one of the major challenges facing the delivery of healthcare services across the world today.
This workshop will examine different approaches being taken through University/NHS partnerships to transform and target interventions at the most frail. The workshop will cover development of frailty scores, the Parliamentary prize winning FADU, and the use of targeted falls intervention to prevent fractures- three important exemplars from a considerable volume of collaborative work.
