WRITING FOR HOPE WORKSHOPS

Join us for a creative writing workshop led by local writers Nan Pickering, Natasha Borton and Tamia Leigh to write your very own message of hope.

A community initiative in collaboration with Advance Brighter Futures, Baton of Hope Wrexham, Voicebox, Community Wellness, Bowen Photo and Film, and funded by Canal and River Trust.

With the support of Nan, Natasha, and Tamia you’ll be guided to turn your words into something powerful.

Your words could become part of the webpage accessed through the Bench’s QR code, offering comfort and connection at a time when someone might need it most.

You don’t need to be a writer. Just bring yourself and be part of something that could quietly make a life-changing difference.

MORE ABOUT THE BENCH OF HOPE

Building on the legacy of the Baton of Hope Wrexham, Wales’ first ‘TalkingPoint Bench’ now stands proudly at Pontcysyllte Chapel Tearoom.

It’s a place to sit, to talk, to listen, and to connect as a community.

Part of a growing UK-wide movement, the Bench of Hope is here to gently spark conversation and serve as a reminder that hope is always within reach.

The Bench of Hope was designed and hand-crafted by renowned tree carver Simon O’Rourke.
