Argyll and Bute Whole Families Approach Conference 2.0
About
In 2024, family members, community members, and professionals who live or work in Argyll and Bute and want to see a reduction in drug and alcohol harms, came together for the Argyll and Bute Whole Families Approach Conference. Together they learned about The Whole Family Approach and the new Scottish Families project to embed this approach. They listened to early findings from the projects' audit and community engagement work, heard from others in Scotland who are embedding a whole family approach, and participated in two workshops to develop themes, priorities, and opportunities for change.Find out more on our 2024 Conference webpage: https://www.sfad.org.uk/argyll-and-bute-whole-family-approach-conference
We now invite you to join us and hear what's happened during the 2 year project, listen to learning, contribute to the conversation, and help us to lock in the legacy of this work through understanding how it will be stewarded by Argyll and Bute stakeholders for Argyll and Bute communities.
This conference is for Argyll & Bute family members and friends impacted by someone else's alcohol or drug use, and for anyone who volunteers or works in a professional role in Argyll & Bute to reduce the harms caused through alcohol and drug use - e.g. Alcohol and Drug Treatment and Recovery Services, Carers Organisations, NHS, Education, Community Services and organisations such as Advocacy, Employability, Wellbeing, Youthwork, and Family Support.
The event will include refreshments and lunch.
The Whole Family Approach Framework prioritises enhancing holistic support for families at the local level. This includes introducing new support services as well as strengthening existing provisions. The goal is to ensure families receive comprehensive care tailored to their unique needs.
This conference has been commissioned by Argyll and Bute Alcohol and Drug Partnership and is being hosted by Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs.
