Meditation on the seven last words of Jesus

Tuesday in Holy Week, March 31st at 7.30pmThe Meditation consists of JS Bach’s beautiful solo cello music, interspersed with poems of reflection on Jesus’ Last Words from the Cross. This first half lasts around 50 minutes.
Following an interval for complimentary refreshments, Kenneth Wilson will talk about and read from his two books about his unique musical journeys. In Highway Cello he pedals, with his cello, 1,800 miles from Hadrian’s Wall to Rome; and in Pilgrim Cello 1,900 miles around all forty-two English cathedrals. Readings will be interspersed by a wide variety of other music.
