Guitar & Percussion Teatime Concert Monday 27th April 2026
Welcome to our Teatime Concert series for the current academic year. With up to 25 slots (for juniors & seniors) available at each concert for our musicians, this is an opportunity for all students to play in the Recital Hall in front of their family and friends.
Teatime concerts typically last around 85 minutes without an interval. Please only sign up if you and your child is can stay for the whole concert. If you think that you may need to leave early for any reason, please wait until a concert on an evening when you are free to listen to all of the musicians. As a rule of thumb, each piece should be no longer than 3 minutes and the musician must be performance ready and have at least achieved a Grade 2 standard; if your child is a beginner please don't sign them up for this concert.
Please use this booking page to express an interest in performing if your child is in junior school. Please note that you only need to book in the performer as the attendee, for audience members the concert is non-ticketed and all are welcome to come and listen. If your child is in senior school, please advise them that there is a sign up sheet in the foyer of the music building. Spaces are available on a first come basis, with priority given to students who have not yet performed at a teatime concert this academic year.
Parking is NOT available in school due to the senior school yard being used for other school activities. If you have a blue badge/special access need, please email the music administrator at musicadministrator@nottinghamhigh.co.uk. There will be refreshments available from 4.15pm in the music school foyer. There is no need to arrive any earlier than this as there is plenty of space in the Recital Hall for everyone.
On the evening, junior pupils who go to After School Club will need to be collected from there by a parent/carer and brought over to the Recital Hall for 4.20 pm. If your child's school instrumental teacher would like you to bring them over earlier than this, they will contact you directly to discuss. Instrumental teachers cannot collect musicians from after school club and infant/junior pupils cannot be present in the Music School unsupervised.
Dress code for all pupil is their usual school uniform.
