FAQ Section
Where do I drop off and collect my child for the Disco?
Please drop off and collect your child at the front entrance of the school. We kindly ask that you use the parking spaces on the surrounding streets and walk the short distance to drop/collect your child to avoid clogging up the entry road from Queens Road into the School.
Can I stay with my child for the disco?
No, parents/guardians are asked to drop off and collect their child only. A fantastic team of PVG-checked volunteers and teachers will be there to host the disco, ensure everyone is safe and feeling included and make sure they all have a fun time!
What will the children get to eat at the disco?
We know the kiddos can get a little hungry after school, so a hot supper will be served in the canteen:
• Tomato pasta + garlic bread
There will also be snack stations in the Disco hall serving:
• Freshly popped popcorn
• Sweetie snack bags
• Water and juice throughout the night to keep everyone hydrated
• As well as a cookie decorating station
Please remember to include your child’s dietary requirements and allergies on the booking form.
With food being served in the canteen, how will my child know where to go?
On arrival, the team at the registration desk will have someone there to escort the younger children down to the canteen. We will have a team there to look out for the kids and to bring them upstairs when it’s time for the disco fun!
My child attends after school club on a Friday — can they still go?
Yes! If you’ve purchased a ticket, the after school team will escort your child upstairs to the disco.
Just remember to pack their party outfit with their school things that Friday morning, and staff will help them get party ready.
My P6/P7 child usually walks home after school. Can I give permission for them to leave the disco unaccompanied?
Yes. This option is included in the booking form, so please select if this is the arrangement you’d like for your child. Please note this is solely an option for P6 + P7 kids.
All other children will be signed out by the team when a parent/guardian is there to collect.
With the disco starting at 4pm, is there somewhere in the school where my child can get changed?
Unfortunately not, but a quick change in the car or arranging with someone who lives nearby should do the trick.
We can’t wait for a night of music, dancing, lots of smiles and fun with the kids. We’re all ready to GLOW!
Will photographs/videos be taken at the event?
Yes. Photographs and short videos may be taken during the event by the ASPA Marketing Representative for use on the School’s social media channels and website. All photography and media capture will follow the School’s consent policy in line with the School’s terms and conditions. If you have any concerns about photography at the event, please contact ASPA at aspa@albynschool.org in advance.
