How to Produce a Community Magazine
About
THRIVE is North Lancashire’s community food magazine. It’s colourful, accessible and informative, and it appears every three months around the district and online. The magazine is supported by a thriving group of ‘citizen journalists’ and for one night only we are taking over their skill share session to look at how you get from words to print on paper.
Georgia Tindale (Journalist and founder of her own magazine), and graphic designer Andi Chapple will set out the stages of production and explain how long it takes and what you need.
They will then invite you to join in a game exploring costs and the decisions you need to take to stay on budget.
This session is designed for writers who want to know what happens after the deadline as well as people and organisations who have a print project in mind or want to find out more.
All are welcome.
The session will be relaxed and inclusive and refreshments will be available.
