Join us for this informative webinar where we’ll explore the economic opportunity that being more accessible presents to businesses and address the ‘fear factors’ that can make businesses hesitate to embrace accessibility. Improving your accessibility may be simpler than you think - most businesses are already more accessible than they realise – and we’ll consider the ‘quick wins’ that can make a difference straight away, including providing accurate and up to date information.The workshop will be delivered by Ray Veal, CEO, Tourism for All UK and Antonella Vecchio, Trustee, Tourism for All UK.
Ray is the Chief Executive of Tourism for All.
Ray’s background is in ICT and he has delivered major projects in both the private and public sectors, across a wide range of industries, including defence, television, technology, financial services and tourism.
At VisitBritain, Ray implemented the EnglandNet database and web search tool which was a forerunner of modern “price comparison” websites.
Antonella Vecchio is an influential Vice President, Board Member, Advisor, Managing Director, and Trustee with a distinguished international career spanning the Technology, Retail, Travel, and Tourism sectors. She brings deep expertise in e-commerce, distribution, retail, B2B, SaaS, business re-engineering, and digital transformation, with a strong track record of delivering strategic growth, commercial acceleration, and operational excellence.
With over two decades of senior leadership experience, Antonella has held pivotal roles at Sabre Corporation and Alitalia Airlines, where she led complex business transformations, drove large-scale digital innovation, and enabled sustainable organisational change.
She is the Founder of High Flyer Consulting, where she advises organisations on unlocking innovation, scaling performance, and navigating transformation in rapidly evolving markets.
A passionate advocate for diversity, inclusion, and accessible travel, Antonella is a founding member of CHIEF UK and serves as a Trustee for Tourism for All. Through these roles, she actively supports initiatives that promote inclusive leadership, expand opportunities for under-represented talent, and improve accessibility within the travel and tourism industry. She is widely recognised for her energetic, empathetic, and results-driven leadership style, as well as her ability to build high-performing teams and nurture future leaders.
This webinar is open to Cumbria Tourism members as well as any businesses operating in the visitor economy in Cumberland coastal areas. It is part of the Cumbria Coast Route project, funded by UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund through Cumberland Council.
