Historical Women of Lancaster Cemetery (SOLD OUT)
About
Following a sold out event in November 2025, Eleanor Levin, in collaboration with Friends of Lancaster Cemetery, returns with her tour focusing on the lives and stories of some of the women buried there.You will learn about ordinary and extraordinary women who are woven into the rich heritage of the city, including a music hall entertainer, a patient at Lancaster's Moor Hospital and a woman who gave birth on the high seas.
Payment
We are selling tickets on a sliding scale, with a free option for those who wouldn't otherwise be able to access the event. Where your money goes:
£6 to cover the costs of this tour
£10 to build a fund for future tours
£15 to help host more events
The tour will start at the North Chapel, look out for a Friends of Lancaster Cemetery sign. Attendees will be contacted by email should we need to cancel for severe weather / illness.
Accessible parking is available at the Quernmore Road entrance. The tour will take part along wheelchair accessible walking paths. Get in touch with
