Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Wicked Queen, Rumpelstiltskin, Hansel & Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood, the Big Bad Wolf – we know them all so well… or at least we think we do!Jacob Grimm and Wilhelm Grimm, the revered collectors and writers of traditional tales, are applauded by their villainous fairytale characters at the annual Villains’ Convention, where the baddies always come out on top. However, tired of their constant misfortune, the goodies decide to band together and fight for their own happy ending. Suddenly, the villains aren’t getting their wicked way all the time—and they are not happy about it!
This new fairytale musical, an original story by Emily Martin, weaves together three beloved tales to create an imaginative and innovative story of good (eventually) triumphing over evil. A magical mash-up of classic Grimm fairy tales—of which there are over 200 in total —it is as fun as it is clever, featuring some ‘wicked’ songs by Matthew Crossey to have you toe-tapping along.
