Please note that this session is for practitioners only and children should not attend.
Rachael and Chris have planned an interactive and engaging session exploring how music, movement and singing can positively support early communication and language development during this crucial stage of a child’s development. They will also explore how music can enhance personal, social and emotional development within EYFS settings.
During the session, they will share practical and uplifting ideas for using music to support these developmental areas in your setting, as well as demonstrating how music can be incorporated across different areas of learning in the EYFS. With a focus on supporting all children with differing abilities and needs, they will share relevant theory and examples showing how music helps build the foundations for future learning during this critical period of brain development.
Aims of the session
Theory and practical ideas to support practitioners in using music as an integral part of the early years learning environment.
Songs and musical interactions that support daily routines, listening skills and concentration, while encouraging joy and positive engagement in learning.
