This June, live comedy returns to Taunton with the next night in Queen's growing comedy series, bringing another standout evening of stand up to the Queen's Hall Theatre.Following a first event described as "a great night out", with a "really good atmosphere" and "fantastic acts", the series continues to build, combining high quality comedy with a relaxed, welcoming setting that feels easy from the moment you arrive.
Staged in a 500 seat theatre, the night delivers the scale, atmosphere and quality of a national comedy tour, right here in the heart of Taunton. From the first act to the final set, the evening is carefully designed to give you the full live comedy experience, with drinks available throughout, two interval breaks and plenty of time to relax and enjoy the occasion.
Headlining the evening is Emmanuel Sonubi, one of the most exciting voices on the UK comedy circuit today. Fresh from appearances at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Sydney Comedy Festival, and known to audiences from Live at the Apollo and QI, Emmanuel brings his trademark blend of commanding stage presence, brilliantly delivered stories and infectious energy to Queen's Hall Theatre.
Joining Emmanuel is UK touring comedian Matt Green. Having performed across Australia, Singapore and Europe, Matt has established himself as one of the most exciting acts on the circuit. His sold out debut tour, *That Guy*, delighted audiences across the country, and his mix of sharp observations, personal stories, audience interaction and quick witted improvisation makes him a perfect addition to the lineup.
Completing the bill is Carly O'Connor, a warm and engaging storyteller whose relatable comedy draws on family life, friendships and everyday experiences. Her natural charm and big laughs have made her a favourite with audiences across Wales, the South West and beyond.
Guiding the evening is returning host Ian Murphy, back by popular demand after helping make our first comedy night such a success. His quick wit, audience rapport and effortless crowd work ensure the night flows from start to finish.
